Printable colouring pages
Printing at home seems simple until the sheet comes out with a grey line and the drawing cut in half. Three decisions solve almost everything.
Paper and resolution
Ordinary printer paper is fine for coloured pencils. For felt-tip pens you want something slightly thicker, or the ink bleeds through and ruins the next page — which is why many printed books leave the back of each sheet blank. As for the file, look for a PDF: an image pulled off a web page usually prints with ragged lines.
Print or colour on screen
On paper you get the gesture — holding the pencil, controlling pressure, training the hand. On screen you get the freedom to make mistakes without consequence, change colour as often as you like and save the result. They are not substitutes: plenty of people use the screen to test colours and paper for the final piece.

What paper size?
Our books are 8.5 × 11 inches (21.6 × 27.9 cm), very close to A4. Printing on A4 works well.
Can I use the pages in a school or institution?
Samples may be printed for personal and classroom use. For wider distribution or large-scale reproduction, contact us by email.
